i was looking to replace both the main and dipped beam bubls with a pair of H1 halogen bubls... however i was looking for some that give the closest look to HID or actual blue bubls, alot of people here said that many of the ice blue bulbs barely give a blue look so i was wondering what does... any links would be appreciated... thanks ppl

dont do it. blue halogens give off very little light, and you need to see where you're going. and no matter what a halogen bulb can not look anything like HID. and if they're really blue you get pulled and fail MOTs.

Dito what jug said, the best you could do is Philips Blue Vision bulbs, better than standard but not as good a there vision plus or others. And are supposed to have a slight blue tint, but still legal.

You even get free blue sidelights too, again decent philips ones. You may get them cheaper that was just a very quick search.

guess ill be goin for those bulbs then... was just wonderin how id go about fitting the sidelights now lol

You'll see when you look at them is fairly obvious, i cant remember exactly, as been so long since i looked, but dont remember any probs.

i currently use Philips Vision Plus 50% bulbs. they are easily the best bulbs i've ever used, and i've tried dozens of them. i doubt i'll ever use anything else.

Thats what i use as well Jug, in my Bravo, the Volvo s40 and my sisters Punto JTD. There excellent and i'd only change to HID's if the legality issue is clarified. But as he really wants the blue tint i guess the blue vision might be more to his taste.
