Anyone able to tell me where the Lambda sensor is in a 1997(R) Fiat Brava ? Or even have a picture of what it looks like...

I was also wondering if anyone could briefly tell is how to remove it :)

Cheers

dont know about the brava, but a lambda sensor will be in the exhaust down pipe. follow your exhaust down from the manifold, and look for something with a wire sticking out the side of it. Sticking out around an inch or so. It'll have aprox 4 wires coming out of it. To remove, it you need a large spanner. Its something daft like 26mm, it just unbolts.

I hate talking about cars it makes me sound so dumb because i have not got a clue LOL.

Will it be accessible from under the bonnet? :S

I read somewhere on the internet about it being beside the spark plugs :S

i dont know the brava well enough to comment i'm affraid. just follow the exhaust

this photo is off my car, ignore the cracked exhaust - but you can see the lambda sensor sticking out to the left

You get at it from underneath the front of the car with it up on stands. Not sure where it is on the 1.6 but follow the exhaust pipe down from where it joins the manifold and it'll be there somewhere. They can be in quite tight - I couldn't get mine out
