if you have the red key, you can program any new key codes into the ecu.
to do this you will need 2 blue (slave) keys with unique codes to each other and the red key.

the easiest way to get a pair of unique blue keys would be to borrow the codes from any other fiat code system1 car (any fiat with a red key). take the blue keys from another fiat, and the red key for your ex-fiancee's car, to a locksmith such as timpsons. tell them to cut 2 new keys from the red, but code both of these using the 2 blue keys from another car.
now you have 3 keys, the original red and 2 new blues.
to program these new blue keys into the car you need to:

insert red key, turn to on position (mar i think its called?)
keycode light will illuminate then go out
remove red key
insert 1st blue key, turn to on positon
keycode light will illuminate then go out
remove 1st blue key
insert 2nd blue key, turn to on positon
keycode light will illuminate then go out
remove 2nd blue key
insert red key, turn to on position
keycode light will illuminate then go out
remove red key

if you dont have the red key, you're going to be mad.
you can:

1. replace the ecu and all locks and keys with a set obtained from another car (£100 at scrapyards & breakers but its tricky finding a full set of keys and locks and ecu all from the same car, and making sure its the same engine as your car) fitting the whole lot is relatively easy, just a bit of a hassle.

2. go to http://www.codeman.org/ (or contact reddy4bed on fiatforum) and find out about getting the immobiliser disabled on your ecu. doesnt cost too much (£100-200), you simply post the ecu to them, it comes back ready to plug back into the car and away you go. any keys will work, but so will a screwdriver (no immobiliser!) so you'll need to consider installing some new security or take the risk. an aftermarket alarm/immob is cheap on ebay and easy to fit. if you have no keys at all you will also need to have an uncoded key made from one of your locks. you can remove the glovebox lock easily and get keys made from that which will work all the locks and ignition (once immob is disabled). this key wont cost much and can be done at most locksmiths.

3. let fiat install a new ecu and provide a set of new keys to fit your existing locks and work with the new ecu. costing much more than the car is worth.

happy days :)
