Hi All,

I have a 1995 Bravo, 1.4. Recently on setting of in 1st gear the car shakes and vibrates violently. I first though this was clutch judder, but if you set of in 2nd it does not happen, nor in reverse. I can select all gears fine and once moving the problem does not occur again.

The gearbox is the linkage (rod) type, and all of these seem fine. I am going to bleed the actuator tomorrow to eliminate this, but does anyone have any suggestions on the possible cause or the problem. There is plenty of fluid in the resevoir

Thanks

Roseyp

clutch judder on a worn clutch usually only occurs when pulling away in first gear, so it sounds like you'll need a new clutch soon.

I've had this on two occasions now, but my Punto is only one month old. Could there be something wrong with the Dualogic?

dual logic is like selespeed (and asking for trouble once its not under warranty), so i would assume you're experiencing the same problem selespeed users have in 1st gear. its normal, you need to adapt your driving style.
