Eh up! Just bought a Punto 55 SX, P-REG. I have no red key for the damn thing only one blue key! I am aware that if the code light does not go off it has rejected the blue key and the red key is then required (i think). If i needed a new ECU and Transponder Box how much would it be and is there any other way around this? I know on earlier Fiat Punto's there are blank un-coded ECU's. Would this fit and are they available for my model Punto! Cheers !

A new ECU is a LOT of money. If your blue key is working now then take it to Timpsons or other locksmith and get it cloned. Then you have at least one spare.
If you are saying that you have no keys that work then you can get your box/keys coded for less than a new ECU. Do a search on the forum for red key.

there was a thread in here where someone had the imoibiser removed from the ecu/or bypassed.. i cant recall exactly what - but hopefully this will jog someones memory on it

I have a Fiat Brava which was brought about 4 months ago. I am having problem with the car when it comes to starting the car. I thought it was the battery but coudn't establish the problem so went to Fiat and they needed a Red key which I didn't know about and they said £1000 to get new keys etc.

I serched on the Internet and found www.codeman.org and they will be able to sort out red keys for less then £200 but inorder to sort out keys I need the ECU number http://www.codeman.org/fiatecu.html and the Code Block http://www.codeman.org/fiat_code_block.html . But I was unable to find the both number. I phoned the guy up but he was saying whatever was shown on his web site. But like I said coudn't find it. Is there any chance anybody would actually know where they are located. If you do could you please post here or e-mail me please.
