hi there

where can i find the places to change my windscreen wiper fuses. been looking and can not seem to find it. also do you know what colour fuse that i need for it?

and help will be great

regards dilli

i take it you've checked the diagram on the back of the interior fusebox cover? if its not there you need to check the engine bay fuse box. just look for a wiper symbol on the diagrams.

Windscreen wiper fuse is a 20Amp (Yellow). It's in the main fusebox, second one down on the right hand column of the 3 x 5 set of fuses. Also serves windscreen washer and rear wash/wipe. I blew this fuse a few times last week while fitting a punto rear wiper motor into my brava :D

Is there no list online of these fuse locations? I'm only getting it out of the manual, I could copy in the whole list if necessary, there seems to be a lot of fuse questions.

Why do you wanna change it first?

when i pop the wipers on intermittent after about half an hour they stop being intermitent and go on full without switching a switch

then ya have to turn em off and leave em or turn of the car for intermitent to work again.

it don't happen all the time but its very annoying.

sounds like a relay problem, its a strange one though?!
could also be the effect of heat in the stalk, does it feel hot when this happens?

Sounds like the intermittent relay has gone, its found on the actual wiper motor itself. You will need to remove the scuttle panel to gain access. I have a front windscreen wiper full motor and linkages on the classified section that was fully working when removed. I suppose you could take the relay out of it and put it in yours.

thanks. i'll change the fuse first and then if it persists. cause it don't happen all the time then i'll get back to you.
