Hi, I have acquired the above vehicle about a month back and it has been faultless up till last week.

After a particularly damp night, it hasn't wanted to fire. I am unable to get a manual till nect week as no one has one in stock so i am wondering if you good people can help me:-

Can anyone confirm that #1 cylinder is at the drivers side (looking from the front) and that the order is 1-3-4-2?

It has a single block ignition module with ht connections numbered 1 - 4, do the numbers on this block correspond to the cylinders or do the leads follow the order

plug 1 connection 1
plug 3 connection 2
plug 4 connection 3
plug 2 connection 4

Cylinder 1 is on the drivers side next to the cambelt.

Pretty sure they fire 1-3-4-2.

Terminals on 'dissy' cap correspond to cylinder numbers.

As above - checked the manual.

The firing order is stamped on the head.

I know this because at some point all owners of the 1.4 will have to take the head off.

yeh im pretty certain 1-3-4-2 is the firing order, i remember reading it somewhere but for the life of me can't remember where!
