Hi to all BRAVA/BRAVO owners,
This is my first post in this interesting forum.
If anyone knows, I need to know what voltage the ECU sends to the ignition coils while starting the car.
I will explain what lead to this question:
I have a problem with my BRAVA (1996 1.6 SX manual gear box)- It is not starting, Coils and Crankshaft sensor are O.K.
I understand in electronic, so I opened my BRAVE ECU and found the problem- there are two devices that swithing the voltage going to the ignition coils- one of them is damaged and the resistor connected to it is damaged too.
Unfotuneatly, I can't find the exact device (as far as I can see it has to be an IGBT device), since the american manufucture Harris, sold to intersil and to Fairchild semiconductor in 2001, so no data avalible for this device.
If someone can help me with info of the output voltage to the ignition coils (maybe 300-400V??) I can find a replacemant to the original device.
Thanks,
Avi.
