if you had the original fiat stereo they must be daft stealing it, its worth very little. if you had an aftermarket stereo you really shouldn't leave the front on, not even for 5 mins if you pop into a shop. there's no excuse, the bravo has a lockable golvebox so at least use that. (i never leave anything in the car, even at asda)
to replace the glass its really easy. clean off all the broken glass first. you'll notice that the glass is only stuck in with black rubber sealant. clean all that off too, remebering where it was applied. you can then buy the same stuff at B&Q (i suggest an outdoor adhesive coloured black).
simply stick new sealant around the window frame in the same place as the old stuff, then push the new glass into place and stick it in positon with masking tape. leave it 24hours and it'll be good as new. make sure you get sealant all the way around to prevent wind noise or leaks.
rather than buying a new piece of glass i suggest you get one from a scrapyard, its not very difficult to remove the glass, if you have a piece of thick nylon line (100lb minimum) or some steel wire, you can get it behind the glass and then use it like a saw to get through the sealant, using long back and forth strokes. it wont take long to do. wear gloves or the nylon/steel line will cut you because it requires a lot of pulling force to get thought the sealant. once off clean all the old sealant off the glass, sometimes a hairdryer is useful to soften it when getting it off.
