Hey.. as some of you might i know i recently moved to a Brava from my Marea...

I personally think i have a bargain with the car but ive had some one tell me if basically over-paid, so what i will do is tell you about the car and then wait for your replies telling me how much it is worth (remember i am asking how much it is worth no how much you would pay for it lol)

OK so it is a 1998(R) Fiat Brava 1.6 SX80 16v Automatic, it has 49k on the clock and has a full years MOT but only 3 months tax, the car comes with service history and receipts showing that in july of this year, a new exhaust system was fitted along with new spark plugs and brake pads... it is metallic british racing green in colour, the body work is immaculate apart from a tiny tiny dent on the boot and a tiny one on the back door (i mean tiny aswell! you cant notice it unless you look for it) - it also has a nice 6 CD multichanger in the boot which is hooked up nicely to the main front console (So i also have a tape player and the main centre console isnt destroyed!) - The interior is also in a very good condition.

So yeah, how much do you think its worth (oh yeah insurance is good too, i am 18 years old paying £470!!!)

about 850? but then what do i know? i paid 900 for my s reg:mad:

personally i'd advertise it for £850 and take £750. it seems to be a good one, but its an automatic and an R reg so it isn't worth more than £850. hope you paid less (if you paid more you really should look in the autotrader to get half an idea of prices, or even better the adtrader)

Well i just wanted to prove a point that i have not been ripped off.

I paid 700 for it which i think is a reasonable price :) And Automatics... they actually sell for more than a manual would as theyre hard to get a hold of (if ur lookin for a second hand auto all u can ever find is a corsa or a jag or bmw)

are you sure its not a 1.2 16v? iv never heard of a 1.6 16v only giving 80bhp.... the 1.2 does though?

Its the 1.6 definatley, log book says it as does the fact that the only automatic brava out is the 1.6 :) apparently it has 109BHP

its a mk1 so technically it isnt an 80 or a 100, those numbers were only used on the mk2s. its just a 1.6sx. on mk2 it would be a 100sx. you can tell by the badges on the wings.

autos cost more when new, but after that they are worth a little less because they are so hard to sell. not many people want an auto in the uk, they're slower and the autobox on most auto's doesn't last as long as a manual box.

Mines a MK1 100SX.

Although to be fair, its on the change and might be a bit of a mix.

i know it hasn't got a digital dash because he said its a mk1 and all mk1s didnt have one. my bravo is one of the last mk1s and it doesn't have one, but all mk2's had the digital dash. i think its likely that someone stuck the mk2 badges on.

My car is definatley 1.6 16v.... and as for digital dash? do you mean the little digital display which tells you how many miles you have done (the counter thing that you can reset) etc because mine has that aswell... :S

what?! you have a 1998 R reg with a digital display for the miles? thats not possible unless its an import or something? or maybe its different on autos? or a previous owner modified it? really weird.

does your 1.6 engine have a metal or plastic upper inlet manifold. if its metal it shouldn't have a digital display on the dash. definately not.

the bit at the back of the engine which curls up/down and into the head.

i.e. the silver bit
