just ordered smoked side repeaters on ebay but was just wondering whats the best way of getting the old ones out?should they just pop out?they seem really tightly fitted!
A small, flat screwdriver under the front end should release the clip, then they just pull out. Make sure you use a bit of cloth between the screwdriver and bodywork so you don't damage your paint
i used a credit card to push on the clip at the big flat part (nerest to the door ) did it about 10 mins ago in the dark :/ just make sure u keep hold of the wire lol mine went back in to the wing had to get a coat hanger to get it out lol:bang:
i use a piece of 100lb nylon line, its thin enough to get behind anything and strong enough to pull anything off, including fingers so i always wear gloves
to stop the moisture (happens to most aftermarket lights) simply wrap a good amount of cling film around the wire and conector and back of the side repeater, making sure its tight enough to prevent water geting in, then cover it in tape. works every time, but dry them out before you do it or you'll seal the moisture in there forever.
