I have read some of the posts on this problem but was wondering if a faulty wire on the brake pad wear sensor would cause the ABS warning light to come on also.

cheers.

no, the handbrake light comes on when the low wear indicator wire is reached. it is not related to the ABS system.

you either have a sensor fault (one on each wheel) or a wiring fault, or an abs controller fault. almost always a sensor fault unless one of the ABS wires has been caught by something.

getting the front struts off without damaging a sensor is very hard, so if you've had new shocks or springs or any other work that required a front strut to be removed that is a very likely cause.

lights been on since i changed the brake pads afew weeks ago. noyt realy had much time to get it sorted though!

wots the best way to clean out the sensor, could i giv it a blast of air or do i have to get right in about it??
