Hi,
I have recently purchased an older Brava 1.4 SX (N reg, 1996). It has only done 55k and looks in very good condition.

I am now experiencing a problem whereby I seem to loose acceleration for a fraction of a second through each gear. It happens nearly all the time. I have had an Electronic Diagnostic done on the car but it has shown no fault.
The spark plugs have been changed and I have had new leads, but the problem is still there. Anyone got any suggestions please?

Regards,
Sue.

Is the coil pack on it's way out? I had a problemn with myn about 12 months ago where the revs would keep dropping when the car was stationary. I solved that by getting a new throttle body from the scrap yard for a fiver.

If you do try replacing the throttle body disconect the batt for 10 mins, so that the electronic motor returns to it's centre possition.

Sorry it's all I can think of if the diagnostics has picked nothing up. Even if it is an intermittant fault it should have left a fault code so th diagnostics would have found the fault code.

Hope it helps anyway.
