Hi, I've just bought a Fiat Brava SX 80 1.2 16v Y reg, and because of the hopeless car dealer who didnt know himself (god knows how he's selling cars!!:bang: ) On my key fob, I got a round fob attached, could anybody possible tell me what this is for?? I've put brand new batteries in it and it still doesnt do anyting. I thought it maybe for central locking and possible for my alarm whether its activated or not, just got a red light flashing constantly in my car!! Would appreciate any sensible comments.

does the key fob look like the one in the pic that is posted in your original thread? (a few below this one in the list)

this topic- https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-brava/74071-round-key-fob.html

by the way- starting multiple threads on the same topic is confusing. you should post replies in the first topic. :)

also, where is the red led exactly? is it the original fiat one or another one that a previous owner has added?

If its a round fob its more than likely the aftermarket remote central locking kit that was available for the car.

Somebody stated in the other thread that they used the buttons on the keyfob. This is not always the case. Buttons are only on the keyfob for those that come with remote locking. I had a similar kit on my old 1.2 purchased from Fiat which required the extra round fob.

Add on Fiat alarm fobs are rectangular in shape.

Check the relays behind the glove box. You should have alarge yellow one there with a small yellow wire hanging out of one of the corners (antenna). If its all in place god knows why it wont work if your key central locking works
