I have a fiat brava 1.2sx 80 Most things have been fine up until today when both electric windows stopped working completely. What is this likely to be? Where are the fuses for them?

if both stop working at the same time it is very likely to be the fuse, remove the plastic cover to access the fuses, its in front of your right knee when sat in driver's seat. your igniton key fits the 2 plastic screws perfectly so use that to open it. there is a diagram on the back of the cover which tells you what each fuse is for. check it out.

Thing is I have checked there and from what I can see the window fuse is not there. If it is, it is marked very strangly as everything in there resembles somethig else. Any idea where the fuse box that contains the window fuse is anyone?

As far as I can gather, it's in the set of fuses to the right of the steering wheel, in the little 'tower' on the left hand side, fourth (if you believe the manual) or fifth (if you believe Haynes) one down and it should be green. It's dark so I'm not going to check right now, but try both, it has to be one of them :) There's usually spares in the right hand side of the tower but if not, Halfords sell mixed packs for about £2 :)

£2! there only 75p at my local, or 10 of any type for a pound. halfords must laugh every time the till goes beep.

I know but motor factors round here only open office hours which is of no use when you need at fuse at 7.30 in the morning or leaving work at night which is what always happens to me :bang: Though I suppose windows is something that can wait until the end of the week!
