Hello, new to the forum so sorry if this question has been asked before. Have a 1996 Brava 1.6sx. The injection warning light has started coming on. When I start my car up, it is ok,starts up first time and at the start of the journey runs ok, but when it has warmed up the light comes on and then the car begins to sound like a army tank and kangeroo hops along the road. I am assuming that it may have something to do with temp sensor, please correct me if I am wrong! Before this problem, the car lost its revs when i took my foot off the accelerator, which i managed to get fixed, could the two be connected at all.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks guys[:X]

sounds like it may be running to ritch,so ok when cold, but then flooding overfueling when warm.can some 1 take a plug out 4 you when it happens.if it is black and wet you will know.

if it aint broke dont fix it.purple pain.up the villa.brava 1.6sx.
no fag.lighter required.

Well everything checked out ok with the spark plugs. But now when I turn the engine on the injection light comes on straight away and the car struggles to move, so its been sitting on the drive way for the last week. Do you think the injectors need replacing.
Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks [8)]

i would invest in taking it to FIAT for a diagnostic, costs around £40 but might give you clue before paying for injectors££££££ if you are going to replace the injectors i would buy a complete inlet manifold from a scrappy not to dear or hard to fit and if it doesn't work then you aint spent too much

Shop around before you book a diagnostic, I got one for free cos the garage was looking to fix the fault afterwards.

i can tell you your problem is most certainly your coolant sencor and possibily a intermittant crank sencor 2 faults in 1 this will drive the car insane.

id get it check by fiat then get the work done somewere else or find the bits yourself then get the work done works out loads chepaer then being done by fiat!

Did replacing the coolant/crank sensor fix your problem ? As i am having the exact same problem

Hi,
Problem was a dead injector. Got someone out to do a full diagnostic check. Its well worth getting that done to know exactly whats wrong before spending loadsa cash replacing bits that might not be the cause of the problem.

I hope that this has helped.
