If your cars keys has a little button on it, then your car must have an Alarm. I.e HLX spec or HGT Spec. S and SX's mever had the button on the key.
Anyway, you mention the keystarts and opens the car but doesn't turn on/off the immobilisor. Thats not possible, the immobilisor stops the car from starting. I assume you mean the alarm here.
With the two blue keys, you should of been provided with two 4 digit codes taped to the keys, if not then you will need to obtain the code card from Fiat as they normally have a copy of them, retails around £15. The code card has other valuble info about your car aswell.
Once you get the four digit codes you can reprogram them back into the alarm. You can do it yourself or get Fiat to do it for you. Basically to do it yourself, you need to press the button in the courtesy ceiling light, then ket go. After one flash of the LED you need to press the button the number of times on the four digit code, i.e if its 4.2.1.6, you press the button 4 times, then let go, the led will flash and then you press the button 2 times, then wait for the led to flash and then do the same for the other numbers. Once you get all the numbers correct, the led will flash afew times then stop. If it keeps flashing then it didn't work. However Fiat will do it properly.
To turn the alarm off, some cars have the emergency key overide under the steering wheel behind the fuse box cover. Use the special key to turn the alarm off.
Not much help really im afraid but atleast you get an idea what needs to be done.
If the car doesn't have an alarm and the car wont start due to the immobilisor, then carefully open your old key, then carefully remove the black chip from the key and refit into the other key. Jobs done the immobilisor should now work fine with the other key.
