Evening all i ve got a 2.0 20v bravo hgt and i seam to be having a little problem with it when i brake hard or turn a corner there seams to be an awfull sqeak from under the bonnet it sounds like its coming from the drivers side wheel plus the brakes sound like there rubbing on the same side all the time but they aint..

Any one know what this could be or is this a known fault i was thinking strut but i replaced that and its still there could it have something to do with the ABS as sometimes the brakes feal solid

Any info would be great

Thanks In Advance :)

ok cheers mate hopefully will be able to help as im really starting to get anyed with the whole car lol

judging by the noise when you turn i'd say it sounds like the caliper needs greasing, use copper grease on all the moving parts. i've had exactly the same problem on 2 cars and it worked on one of them, on the other i had to get a new flexi hose for the caliper, they sometimes break down inside which makes the caliper stick and also makes it difficult to break. you can get your brakes checked for free at most garages, see if the driver side has less effort, if it does you should try greasing and flexi hose.
