I've been a proud owner of a 155 HGT (Even though it's white [V]) for 6 months now, and just thought i'd pop in here and say hello...(Some of you may know me from the Fiat Bravo / FiatBoo forum)

I'm a bit new to the modding scene, but i have started to do a few internal mods...

So far all i have done is re-trimmed the door cards in suede, and installed a PC, mainly for playing MP3's, music vids and GPS...In the very near future it will also have wireless LAN, as a m8 of mine (Tafi, also with a very sweet Bravo), also has a PC...We go to a lot of meets/shows together and want to use the wireless LAN to chat to each other on the move. (Without being fined for using mobile phones or walkie talkies)

Anyway...enough of the rant...

Here are some pics of my installed PC.

This is how it was...(A big mess)

I swapped the PC around a bit to give me more room, and sort out all the wiring...(Believe me this was a big improvement)

I made an mdf stealthy type thing to hide it away, and provide a bit of security, and covered it to match my dash an doors.

The screen up front, this is just temporary until i install it in the dash. (The screen looks very fuzzy in the pic but it looks perfectly fine in reality, i think it was a combination of it being dark, and the flash..(see below)

As you can see...:D

It's not everyones cup of tea, but i am no good at engine mods (and really i dont see the point of it with a HGT, well at the moment anyway ;))...

When i first started the project i thought i was the first person to do this, but i ended up being only one of hundreds that has done this before...:(

Hi and welcome to the forum:D
Car sounds great [8D], got a vision of you using a k/b on the motorway though;)
Have you put http:// in your img url?

Dave. :)

Marea 2.0 20v
FIATcentral window sticker
Blue gaiters, Blue sidelights, Blue interior lights, Blue lacquer on engine, feeling blue ;)
Ecotek fitted, removed and waiting for warm weather
So much to do, so little time.... and Totally Skint!! :(

Thanks for the welcome...

I was very fortunate last year to have a touchsceen for xmas, so there is no need for a keyboard or mouse [8D].

I did put the on the pics (they were working fine), trying refreshing, they should work.

cool:D

pics not showing here, common issues are:
- pics need to be hosted on web server
- no caps in url or filename
- domain name redirection and frame mode does not always work, try using isp url
- you must include http:// in-between img tags, not needed if just link.

looking forward to seeing pics

Dave. :)

As you can see above i now have a PC installed in my car with a 7.2" touchscreen monitor...

I have had the screen mounted just in front of the gearstick since Christmas, but i have now bit the bullet and a have started to modify my dash to fit it in nicely...

I have split the dash in two harves and i want to mount the screen in the middle, while moving the heater matrix downwards...

I havent done that much yet, but this is where i am now...

I have shaped a center section to house the screen out of MDF, i am really happy with the finished shape [8D]

As you can see from this top pic, the MDF is about 1mm smaller than the original console, this is to allow for the thickness of the material i will use to cover it...(The same material as my interior)
