My darling HGT did the dirty on me (but it was probable my fault so I forgive her). I poped out last night and when I got back in the car it wouldn't start. Luckily a top RAC bloke came out and soon sussed that the fuel pump wasn't working. Clever chap that he was he connected an external power source and reversed the pumps flow. He then reconnected everything and the car went. He reckoned that either some rubbish clogged up the pump, which then got dislodged, or the bearings are going. I'm hoping on the first because like a fool I did run the car with the fuel light on for a while trying to get back to my local garage where the fuel is quite cheap. To that end I want to change the fuel filter but where is it and is it before or after the fuel pump??

One other minor problem of a leaking clutch slave cylinder was I found one of the easiest jobs I've ever done on a car. Thanks to shop4parts for their prompt delivery.
