Hi all,

I've just purchased a Bravo HGT after years of searching. I was aware of electrical problems at purchase and now I've had a look I wanted to know if anyone here had any ideas. The car has a battery drain which was identified as the alarm so that has been disconnected, looking into it there are problems with other parts on the same 'service' fuse under the dashboard. The stereo is stuck on 00:00 and I can't get it to do anything, also the interior lights make a very strange loud buzzing sound when switch on. As the alarm, interior lights and stereo are all on the same fuse I wonder if it's all related. I did notice the fuse in is 20A but the diagram says 10A.

Ta.

If it was me,would totally take out all the wiring on that alarm system, then go through all the fuses on the car to make sure right amps,my friend had same kinda problems with a toyota mr2,he didnt even no there was an aftermarket alarm in the car, anyway i removed all wiring that was to do with the alarm, repaired original loom where they had spliced into, replaced wrongly sized fitted fuses, and all his lights, electrics worked perfect again, remember god knows who put that alarm into your car,and what they botched up trying to get there crappy alarm to work.
