Hi,
Welcome to Fiat Forum. I've moved your post to the Bravo section.
I assume the "machine" is a generic code reader? If so it probably won't pick up airbag faults. You need Fiat specific diagnostics. One good choice is Multiecuscan www.multiecuscan.net and an ELM327 interface with adaptor leads e.g. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Fiat-Alfa-ELM-OBD2-Green-Red-Yellow-cables-adapters-Diagnostics-Multiecuscan/282526378637. These need a laptop (Windows XP or later, nothing special). While costing around £6-£70 it's still cheaper than a diagnostic read from a dealer.
This will tell you what is wrong. probably a bad connection. Some Fiats have a problem with the passenger airbag isolation switch that needs a wiring repair.
