Hi
I bought a Fiat Bravo needing work and have discovered I need both sills.
problem is my local body shop can't get any replacement sills.
Is any other fiat models sills the same so I could order them instead? the body shop also said that Ford fiesta ones might fit? can anyone point me in the right direction?

Mk1 Punto sills are close but as I discovered with Adrian's Bravo the sills are the tip of a potential iceberg. Get inside and pull the carpets up, take the plastic trim out and thoroughly inspect the whole inside of the car from the top of the pillars down. Especially if the car has a sunroof.

One side was inner sill and outer sill repairs the other had rusted all the way up the inside of the B pillar and was beyond repair.

The ends of the sills are the tricky bits the middle section can be made with a simple lip curved around a four inch pipe.

So you reckon mk1 punto ones fit?
I've Checked my inner arches and they are are good so I'm going to seal the with cavaity wax
I'll probably clean the whole underneath when I'm at it and underseal it for the future.

Are you saying punto sills ALMOST fit..
Or you can adapt sections as patches.

Pretty sure the old links still show bravo/marea stuff

If you can't find a sill, the top of a wing has a close enough curve.

When welding on ramps it's a good idea to reverse up...





...jack up one side, rotate the ramp a hundred and eighty degrees and drop the back on it. Eliminates the risk of rolling if you have to disengage the handbrake to get to where you are working and also moves the ramp out of the way.

Hi thanks for the help guys. I think I'm gonna go ahead with the Punto sills for patches and see how I get on. I'm a confident enough welder so it shouldn't be a problem. I will the clean the full underside and put a anti rust primer and a layer of black paint and a few coats of Underseal to protect it. is there any other places I should check when I'm doing this that they go?
