Hi,

Can anybody tell me why the fuse for my low beam (left size) keep blowing out?
A few days ago this fuse blow. I was thinking: no problem. I've replace the fuse with another one with the same calibre (10A). When I turn on the lights, after 1 min. the fuse blow!!!! I have try 7.5A, 15A, 20A ... the same problem! Sometime the fuse blow instantly when I turn the lights, somtime after 10 minutes or 10 hours. WHY????? And is only this fuse of low beam - left side.
It was working well from december, last year when I get this car.

the car: Fiat Brava, 1.6 - 16V, 103 CP, year: 2001.

Fuses blow for a reason. You have a short circuit. If it's blowing a fuse instantly then most likely you have a short circuit to earth. Check it out with a multimeter from the switch to the light

Have had several wiring shorts around the headlights where the wiring is routed near the joints in panels, check behind the headlights as the wire insulation rubs through.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum, only recently joined the Fiat family....

I had a few fuse problems in the past, and I always find the answer to my problem here -
fixya.com/support/t719090-car_fuse_problem

It can take a bit of time, but if you look properly you'll find.

Good luck,
Moriss.

your first post and you drag a 3 year old thread up, then link to another site that offers worse support and advice than we have here. wtf
