Hope these points help other viewers.After repeated flashing of the red light on the dashboard indicating a fault in the automatic gearbox.Finally went to a main dealer for a diagnostic check,typical no problems or light appearing on the short trip to the garage.System checked and reset, fault on the temperature sensor and gearshift selector lever which may need replacing if fault keeps occuring.Phew thought we were in for a big one.

Do not rest your hand on the gear lever as this causes that gear seletion switch fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers !!!!!!!!!!!
