Just wondering why it has two names? And as an old man had it before me (for the last 8 years) and I know he's never had the sun roof open and now it's very slow up and down and won't go back at all! Is there any way I can remedy this short of replacing the mother and the passenger window goes down fine and comes up veryyyy slowly and the driver window a bit faster but not normal

If your car is 3dr it's a Bravo, the 5dr are Brava

Have you tried helping with the movement of the sunroof and then greasing the runners ? That's where I start
Windows try wd40 in the seals

As above, 3 door is a Bravo, 5 door is a Brava. The saloon/estate is called a Marea.

The window motors on 90s Fiats aren't exactly known for their power. Sometimes lubraication can help in the runners. Try running a candle in the runners to leave some wax on the rubber. Can help.

Unless it's obviously on it's last legs (as in really struggling to get up and down to the point you need to assist it) then I wouldn't replace it. You'll probably find a replacement no better.
