Hi all,

Got another issue with my Brava (finally managed to fix the other one after a few months), and am hoping you guys can be of some help before I bite the bullet and send it to the garage.

When I'm driving as normal, I've noticed that when I take my foot off the accelerator (eg on approach to a roundabout), I brake then go to accelerate again but the car loses all power and coasts to a halt (battery light comes on, lose all power steering etc). Once I've stopped, I put the car in neutral and turn the key...it immediately starts again. Sometimes I can get the car going again by putting it into neutral whilst still moving and turning the ignition.

Only once have I had trouble starting the car again but that was when it was very, very cold...thoughts?

Just to add to this, a friend of mine asked me what happened if I just let the car idle, so I did this today. It idles for about a minute at 1000rpm approx (900-1200 range) before just stopping, as if I have turned the key to stop the car. Dashboard then goes into startup mode (as if I have turned the key one notch to the right to start the radio/windows etc).

I'm thinking RPM sensor...

No warning lights.

Last serviced 18 months ago but flew through MOT with no issues. RPM has always been at around 1000rpm when idling but when it warms up does tend to go down to 800rpm.

Normal stall? What does that mean exactly?
