Technical brava clutch problem

hi,

When I depress the clutch there is a rattling coming from the eninge. Yesterday I noticed that at one point it was incredibly difficult to get the car into any gear, however this problem stopped quite soon. Can anyone let me know if this is a problem with my gearbox or my clutch? And what the problem is exactly.

try adjusting your clutch cable see if that helps

Making a noise when you put the clutch down and intermittent gear selection problems sounds like a clutch bearing on its way out. If it is it usually gets worse fast so I'd start finding quotes for a new clutch.

Some clutch bearings can make a noise for quite a while without giving up but as you are already experiencing gear selection problems then it may not be long. When the bearing finally gives up it's quite sudden and the car is pretty much undriveable unless you're really good and the roads are quiet
