Looks like my fuel guage has developed a fault.
When I switched the car on today it moved from the rest position but then stayed at the first red line, basicly empty.
Knew there was a third of a tank still in the car since yesterday and had filled it up this evening and it still registering as empty.

Rather annoying problem thats left my a little unhappy on a week I need to use the car alot

It's this fuel protest going ahead, somebody been siphoning it off

That was my first thought when I got into the car!!
had a moment of panic and checked the fuel feed from the filler to the tank out and also the tank and ground for any fuel traces, thankfully there wasnt

I have kept my tank brimmed for about a week incase of panic buying (I need my car for the next 2 weeks). TOday I was driving and in my mirror I noticed a stream of water, moved over to the middle of the road and it followed behind me! THought "**** **** **** what have I done! Must be a hole or something wrong with the fueling system". Pulled in, then it dawned on me, I could see the same strip of liquid infront of me too Paniced me like mad!

I know it doesn't help

Probably the gauge, wiring or sender

having a feeling it maybe the sender, since the guage is able to move from the rest position. Just looks as if its being fed an empty signal.

maybe the float developed a hole, and filled with fuel, stopping it from rising.

Well whatever it was, its resolved now. Went for the start of the long weeks driving today and after 10 minutes it had worked its way back upto the full mark.
It must of just jammed itself at a guess
