Hi all,
I want to change wheels 175/65/R14, but
here in Tashkent can't find any,
but in the manual written, that I can fit only them, so
I'm asking you:
"Can I fit 185/65/R14 without any modifications on my Brava 1.4 sx (98) ?"
Thanks.

185/65's have a larger diameter than 175/65, as the second number (65) is a percentage of the width (175 or 185)

You will probably be better off getting 185/60's, as this will give a similar diameter as the 175/65's.

65% of 175mm= 113.75mm which is about 5.6cm's of sidewall...

60% of 185mm= 120.25mm which is about 6cm of sidewall

60% of 185mm= 111mm which is about 5.5 cm's of sidewall

As you can see if you were to change all four tyres you are better off going for 185/60's instead of 185/65's, as the diameter is closer to that of 175/65's.

For tyres, I personally reccomend www.mytyres.com, they are really prompt with delivery and excellent prices. Hopefully they deliver to Uzbekistan! :D

HTH!

Joe :)

Thanks.
But what about width?
If i choose 185, or bigger for R 14 taking into account size of sidewalls?
Aren't it gonna rub something?
GL.

I am not speaking from first hand experience, but I don't think the will rub. I have 195's on my cinquecento. And they only rubbed because my car is lowered 40mm. The brava is a bigger car aswell, so there is even less chance of this.
