this is my first fiat i own i use to h8 it but now i love it! since i got the steering fixed and new alloys i love it more each day, when i am doing short distances my car is fine also its fine if i were to drive to manchester (i live in liverpool) but as soon as i get on a motorway the car has a red light that lights up on the dash? it looks like a pen spittin ink out! some 1 told me that it means its the injectors? but since i have ad it there been no problems is it important to get them changd? how much is it to get em changed and were any recomendations? the red light make feel like :bang:

That light is a picture of an injector, but it doesn't mean that the injectors are faulty. It means that there's an engine fault. The ECU will record the faults, and with a diagnostic tool (see your local Fiat specialist or <shudder> dealer  </shudder>, the fault can be read to give an idea of what's up. If it comes on once only, you can sort of ignore it, but as it comes on all the time, it's best to get it checked.

If the injector light comes on your ECU has logged on a fault as mentioned above. You might not feel a difference in the performance because as one of the sensor has a reading out of the window or no reading at all causing the ECU to switch over to emergency mode, which is a static map. Running the car in this condition is not absolute safe because the ECU can't consider extreme circumstances such as weather etc. You should sort it out sometimes soon on a diagnostic machine. You don,t need to go to FIAT for it. There is plenty of diagnostic places around that are possibly better and cheaper.
