Hi guys

How much would it cost to totally rust proof and respray the brava?
As the 1.4s brava that i might buy is a bit cak and has had a really bad respray

Too much. They aren't exactly rare, so find a better example, preferably a 1.2 or 1.6. To be honest the 1.4 isn't worth spending that much money on.

the 1.6 16v has much better performance than a 1.4, i totally loved mine, just steer away from the 1.4!

I can get a Coupe resprayed for £1200, and that's a good price. It'd be about the same for the Brava.

OT: Are you planning somegthing Helz??? Getting a bit bored with the silver brava?

Once I have managed to save the £1k for the exhaust system. It needs a full respray next year anyway so £1k for silver, £2k for pink. Think it will have to be silver or it will never get done

i had a custom stainless system decat from the manifold back with flamer kit fittted for 485 on my brava

Add a manifold and cat and there's your £1k. Bits keep falling off and the cat is five years old and had gallons of unburned fuel through it so time to replace.

Not extortionate - costs for Coupe are:
Manifold £270 (standard)
Cat £450 (Milltek)
Exhaust £325 (Milltek)

So that's £1045, and doesn't include fitting.

will be getting a compressor soon, so let me know what colour you want, and i would spray the car for the cost of the materials, and petrol to and from carlisle. also let me know what model brava you have, and i might be able to get a full exhaust cheap (i know a kick boxer who works for an exhaust maker). Yeah that's a coupe! Helz's car is a 1.2 isn't it?

I'm looking at a super-dooper long lasting one, not the standard Fiat one. Which incidentally costs nearly as much.

Yes, but Helz's should be more, because it's longer, as there's no turbo (the turbo replaces 8" of exhaust pipe, and my price doesn't include the downpipe from the turbo to the cat). Seriously though, the costs would be about similar, apart from the coupe manifold might be a bit more, as it's 5 branches, not 4.
