Hi i just recently bought a fiat Bravo 1.4 sx 12v, the car came with a Pipercross Induction kit. When driving the car there isn't much noise but when i accelerate there is a loud deep noise from the indution kit, are they meant so cound this loud?or is it fitted wrong.

Also my brother decided to cut the old air filter and box out of my engine, thinking it was of no use, but apperently this feeds my filter the cold air. When he was cutting the old filter out he came accross a pink looking valve with 2 wires attached on to it, he cut around this and left it in my engine, can this be removed or is it important, ive been told it tells my car how much air to mix with the fuel or something.

im very worried, can someone please help?

Hi Dave i responded on bravoforum too.
Yes it's suppost to sound like that.
The sensor is the air flow meter sensor.
Tells the ecu how much air is coming in so that it knows how much fuel to pump in.
It should be in the pipe from the induction kit to the inlet manifold!

be very careful where the induction kit is mounted! i mounted mine too low, took in water, and one engine rebuild later regretted it!

hi just got a huge bolt-on filter, is it ok 2 leave the old filter box in on my 1.4 brava and put the new filter on the manifold.
will the old filter box feed enough cold air 2 the new filter?

I have a HLX and fitted a K&N induction kit, it did not say anything about moving any sensors, is it in the filter box.

If i have now bypassed the sensor should i move itas stated in above post?????
