I know, I know, you're all going to say just do a 20vt conversion but I've been looking into both and for (hopefully) simplicity, I am considering a 2.4 20v engine from the Stilo.

There is very little info on this conversion (from what I can find) for a Bravo. Seems it's been done on coupes a bit but the majority I can find is about using the 2.4 block with the 2.0t head and making a 2.4t. There seems very little about doing a n/a conversion.

Anyone able to point me in the direction of a build thread or at least some info on the process?

From what I can gather. The stilo engine is taller so there may need to be modifications to the bonnet (or engine mounts depending how you go about it) although this is coupe info, maybe the bravo bonnet is higher? otherwise, it should go in on the 2.0 20v mounts and mate up to the HGT gear box fine.

is it possible to use the 2.4 head and inlet or will i need to use the 2.0 head?

Any info possible please :)

20hp as standard gain is nice. Plus more potential from a bigger block, especially after a remap.

My engine is the VIS. What's the deal with the electrics? How much can be used from the bravo wiring or is there likely to be a lot of faffing with wiring in stilo bits? I'm guessing the easy solution is to just use the bravo head on the stilo block?

The coupe 2.0T would be better in any way.. it's a stronger engine, has one less cylinder and all the moving parts that come with cylinders, can be tuned to much more HP much easier/cheaper... and let's not forget the TORQUE that comes with turbo engines.
A turbo makes "woshhh"!
Best of all you can put a badge that says "2.0T"

If you are going to mention "lag":
These days turbo technology has evolved from he days when the Coupe was released. You can get the same power output with a smaller turbo ..that meaning less mass to spool and much less lag.

AFAIK: the Stilo 2.4 is not the strongest engine, and does not take much more power than in stock form. It is certainly not strong enough to turbo.
