Hey Guys

I am looking for 131 wagon or Brava wagon, they are not a common car looking for one in decent shape and willing to also enlist a small finders fee to anyone that knows of one for sale one.

Let me know

Hello and welcome. The 131 was I think called the Weekend in Europe and I don't think there are many (if any) in Britain due to a somewhat damp climate. They'll also have the wheel on the correct side, which, judging by the flag under your name, could be a disadvantage.

I don't remember a Brava estate/wagon but there was a Stilo SW (Station Wagon).

You could try trawling through this and use Google Translate. As you can probably see there aren't many around as you suspected. You might have to just hang around sites like this and wait for something to come up.

Just for your information, this site is a well established journal which is also to be found in hard copy on news stands.

Good luck, or Buena ventura is you like.

Yes you won't have much luck in this section of the Forum, your "Brava" is the US name only for the 79s / 80s car, it was the 131 or Mirafiori (or SuperMirafiori) elsewhere...

On the Fiat Forum, look for threads under "Other Fiats" not Brava/Bravo... We usually get stray posts here relating to the new Bravo (called the Ritmo in Australia...).

You could put a wanted ad in the classifieds, under the appropriate section.

There may be a few of the Miriafiori estates left around europe (or Brazil?).. they were called the Panorama if I remember correctly.

I think Michael Douglas drove a blue 131 / Brava in the film "Coma"...

Of course it is. What a Muppet! I see one drive past my house several times a week. Mind you it is a bit of a dog.

The Marea SW was a good looking car with its high rear lights and the split tailgate made it practical as well.

If you're planning to ship it to the US then an Italian model would be best as they tend to be less affected by rain and rock salt. You might find that diesels aren't your best bet either because although your gasoline prices are going up they're still a lot lower than ours.

Don't forget that any miles per gallon figures (mpg) you see published will refer to Imperial gallons which are almost 25% bigger than US gallons (well we had to have at least one thing bigger than Uncle Sam) so 25 Imperial mpg will be closer to 30 US.

Of the petrol engines they are all naturally aspirated, the 100 16V will be a 1.6 litre 4 cylinder with double overhead cams and 16 valves. The 115 is a 1.8 litre and the 150 is a 2 litre 5 cylinder with twin cams and 20valves and is the best of them, with that off-beat engine sounds like a refined Audi Quattro.

The ELX is the best equipped.....but then you've probably worked most of this out for yourself anyway. If you see the phrase MOT, that stands for Ministry of Transport, that refers to a basic roadworthiness test conducted anually after the car is 3 years old and includes lights, tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, emissions and other basic safety aspects.

I don't know whether right hand drive will be a big problem but although Italian cars will probably be less rusty and have the wheel on the correct side for you, but buying from here, or Ireland, will help with the buying process as at least you'll be able to talk to the seller in the same language.

Keep us posted if you will.

Oh, and by the way, you won't have to give anyone a finder's fee, we're all pretty helpful on here.
