Hi
I am new to the forum and I have a problem with my Bravo 80 SX 2001, it will not start. The key code light stays on the engine turns over but will not fire. Fuses checked all ok, battery charged, there appears to be no spark at the plugs. Afraid I'm not the most technically gifted person about so fuses and plugs are about all I can cope with without a bit of help.:(

Use the Red Key that should have been provided with the car (y) it should start.

If you Didn't get the RED key then im afraid you are about to launch into a world of problems :(:(

if you can get an Auto Electrician to bypass the Immobiliser then will be a cheap and easy fix (hopefully)

otherwise its a trip to the Fiat Dealer for a new ECU
Complete lock set
ignition Barrel
imob Ring
NEW Key including the RED

two years ago I was quoted £1295 fully fitted :bang::bang:

Hi
Thanks for replying. I do still have the red key and I get the same response from the car when I use that or the blue key.

Hi,
with the KEY CODE light staying on then YES the engine IS immobilised - hence no sparks,

there may be several possible faults to cause this - Having BOTH keys is a good start - do you have the keyCODE card = credit card sized with a 4-digit code on ?

personally I would ;lock AND unlock the car several times remotely with your plip,

1 = move the steering column UP + Down on the RAKE adjuster , poor connection,

2 = disconnect the battery - give it a charge then reconnect and see if any better,

3= remove plasic trim around ignition switch barrel - there is an "aerial" that reads the keys CODE built around the lock barrel = check the wiring and plug-in connection ,
