Posted this on another forum but it was suggested I post here as it is busier. Just bought a Fiat Merea weekend and I can't figure out how to release the bonnet. I looked all around the underside of the dash but all I could find was a release for the steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the car didn't come with an owners manual and I need to add wiper fluid. Thanks.

Open the cage and let it be free || ....

Look directly below the steering column under the dash, there you will see a lever, pull this lever towards you. You should hear the click as the hood lock disengages

I saw that and when I pulled it released the steering wheel to adjust. Do I pull it another way to release the bonnet? Thanks.

There is a red lever behind the dash under the steering adjust, have a reach around and you should find it
