Hi haven't posted much for a while but i been on in the background. After 6 years of being together me and my 1.4 12v parted company yesterday. Ive gone all sensible and Ive replaced the trusty Bravo with a Skoda yes a Skoda Octavia. Really sad to see the car go I still think there one of the best looking cars on the road but age was starting to get the better of myn. Cant compain though 14 years old and 145,000 miles, and mechanically there was nothing wrong with it

It is a sad day, your 1.4 has had a really good run which is probably testament to good regular servicing I would like to thank you for all the good posts you have made over the years.

Yeah serviced every 6,000 miles using only fiat filters, paraflu, and castrol magnatec oil. I still maintain although the 1.4 is the dog of the family and it's underpowered all it needs is a little more tlc and it won't let you down. Mpg is bad considering me octy is a 1.8 and according to the computer it was showing 41 at 70-80 mph haven't worked it out properly yet. The bravo used to do around 28 at the same speed. Got a few bits free to a good home so keep an eye on the classifieds I'll get them listed in the next few days

Not got many parts mate I got a fiat remote central locking kit and a timing kit for the 1.4 and some Rosso boreal metallic touch up paint. Really sad to see the car go myself didn't want to get rid of it hence why I had it such a long time just age was getting better of it ashame I had no room to keep it stowed. Must admit though although it's more sensible than the bravo im starting to love the skoda.
