Has anyone replaced theres?
If so how do you get that pladtic bolt/bullet thing out of the window and vice versa? Seems impossible to get out.
With summer being here can do with both windows working.

Help apreciated
Cheers

its bringing up page 4,theres nothing about removing a window motor?

i can get the actual motor out,not a problem only 3 nuts then the 2 on the frame.Just cant get the plastic thing out of the window.I didnt wana force it incase i shattered the glass :s

sussed it :)

after reading this thread it came clear what bit i had to remove:
https://www.fiatforum.com/punto/62560-replacing-electric-window-motor.html

i was trying to remove the whole lot (as i received the whole lot) trying to get that plastic lug out of the glass seemed impossible.Only to find out the motor is attached to the reg at the end with 3 screws.I know the motor works as i tested it (y) Im just hoping my reg hasnt packed in cos i will be back to square one.

i had to do the reg on the wifes last year, went up thje breakers yard blind as to what it took to get it off, Real pita first time around, but you need the arms of a baby with the strength of an adult to get the small plastic circlip like peice out from the out side of the door side of the plastic lug that holds the window onto the reg rails, simple enough once youve sussed it, just make sure you tape the window up - duck tape, as that makes it a lot easier!!

yer i taped the window up using thick selotape roll to begin with.the little loop thing has snapped off inside i can just feel the 2 bits hangin  on the new reg i have it is a full loop with that ciclip intact.

But hopefully i wont have to remove the whole reg as its just the motor thats packed in and that can be removed easy enough :)

we shall see tomorrow...

Sorted! :)

Eventually i managed to get my hand in the door and remove the motor (having a magnetic screwdriver is very handy!)..only to find whilst removing the motor from the regulator i received that the actual motor is different. The spindle is smaller and thiner  Then i thought great! Anyway i thought sod it ill connect my switch and plug my motor in to the switch... and it worked  So then I reattched it to my reg still in the door and then the window came down again lol
After all this faffin about trying to get the whole reg off yesterday it must have just been a faulty plug OR the plug had worked its way lose from lasttime i got a garage to fit the present one.So all in all i didnt need that motor lol

Also it turns out to be from a year 2000 as the date shows on the sticker and also non of the numbers match. Mad how a mk1 97-99 differs to a mk2.2000+

I now have 2 WORKING windows and a sunroof again (y)
