Hi there, newbie here. Hoping somebody could give me some advise.
My daughter has a Bravo 1.2 16v 1999. Tappets are noisy, but Ive read the threads, and I hope to sort those later. At the moment she has a knocking noise from the rear passenger side, sounds like it would be in the rear door if it had one. Was told it was the shocks, so replaced them, noise still there. Now somebody has told me its the radius arm, cant see any play in it, springs are very rusty, maybe a crack?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks for the welcome. yes I will check bushes etc. not looking forward to changing the arm, if I have to. Will post a thread of how I get on, but prob wont be till after the weekend. Just trying to get the thing up to scratch, got a long list. I'm guessing i'd have to renew the rear hub bearing when changing the arm? I have given the wheel a good shake, seems ok? But will get it checked.

Fold Down the rear seat and try it again.(not joking)
Also look for trapped stones on the rear subframe stuck between the frame and body.

Jimmyybob you are a star :) :) :)
Have just got in from driving around the block with the back seat down and noise has gone. giving you a big hug, in a manly way, of course (y)
Thanks, now just 4 tyres to get.

Thanks Izo, a great find. Was just thinking now that I know what it is, how do I cure it.

When we found this on pre-delivery inspections we did allsorts from wrapping insulating tape around the latch to re-mounting the latch on a small piece of rubber.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.
