Im having problems starting my car after I left it with an amateur mechanic for a few days. Turns over ! seems to be getting fuel, will start for a second , wont rev but will then cut out ! and then wont catch again for ages, then battery die's.
I still need to rule out crank sensor yet, waiting on some tools to do that, but would like to rule out the immobiliser too !
Anyone have any experience with one of these systems, intermittently the lights flash , like washing today for example ! but in the few weeks Ive had it , not seen it do that before, or heard a siren !
Could this mean owt ? Read a review for the g4 alarm system, and it said something about a new wireless immobilising secondary system, that can be placed on a fuel source or summat, and even if the car start, it will cut the engine ???
Im mean I know when its working, as in the blue light on my dash, and when you try , it dosent turn or anything ! But could this non starting cutting out be related ?
How to blummin check, and anyone know how much it might cost to have it taken out, just to rule it out, although Id be sorry to do that if it wasnt the problem, as it seems a good alarm, and has the window up function.
Or would be better to get a clifford service guy on it ???
Ive just downloaded a clifford program for messing on with it, but need some funny cable.
Had a friend mention it could be related, as I did a diagnostic on the car an pulled up a few faults, cant confirm there date thou ! But one was fuel heater relay ??? Also had u1600 , immobiliser key fault or summat, dont know if thats old, or the other day, after having the battery off over night, then the next day, the fiat immobiliser code light stayed on ! but just put the red/brown key in, and it was fine after that, so not sure if that related.
Sorry if i have babbled or a bit to much info, im just after ideas and advice, on things i can try, or rule things out !!!
