Just wondering...

A Bravo that was knocking round the local town is up for sale. Its badged as a GT and has a full Abarth kit however it is a 1.2 didn't realize the GT spec was available as a 1.2... Can anyone shed some light on this? I know there was a 1.6 GT as well as a 1.8, but a 1.2 GT seems a bit silly

Re: Just wondering...

maybe he might think its a GT as the car has an abarth kit..
unless its down in the log book as a GT..but i know for a fact they didnt do a 1.2 GT.

Re: Just wondering...

he might have mistaken it for the Formula Limited Edition...by looking at the interior it has the formula seats, wheel and gear stick, and the optional passenger airbag.

Re: Just wondering...

It has the GT badge on the boot spoonz, though that might not be original.

Re: Just wondering...

We used to have a similar specced car, minus the sunroof and Abarth kit. Lovely car it was... Not so lovely now I must keep a lookout for GTs in future and see what engine they have, even if theyre rare... All Bravos here after 1998 have the passenger airbag as standard, I cant understand why

Btw that car could be potentially Bravo #7 if its still for sale

Re: Just wondering...

I just noticed the badges are sitting low, maybe they have been added to the car. Normaly the badges are level with the bottom of the boot handle. And the back wiper is off a different car, its metal.
Thanks m20b25 thanked for this post

I never copped that, its deffo a fake for sure now it must have been de badged at some stage in its life... I have no idea what that wiper is off but it sure does look miserable My old car had a metal wiper, it didnt look half bad to that black car...

I never knew they were called formula, always thought trofeo? Although I saw a trofeo once, had trofeo on the rear pillars... As our one was the same spec, seats and wheels minus the roof and kit...

Going to look at it afterwards if its still there, possibly make an offer to swap my Sporting for it

Re: Just wondering...

then again, i suppose it makes a difference when they came out the factory, when people chose all the options and trim and so on...
could of been badged as a gt later in its life, but as it came out the showroom, i bet it was an sx but with higher spec stuff ..just an idea of course

Re: Just wondering...

Adrian: yes ours had that small spoiler didnt have the sticker though. Although i dont think ive ever seen a car with those stickers this side of Ireland...

Chris: im pretty sure it was badged as a GT later in life! What other higher spec ones were there (apart from the HLX, GT, HGT etc) nothing to stop someone turning it higher spec either...

got looking at the car earlier today, its a true minter, i havnt seen a clean example like that in ages but its yours for 1550 not 520. Out of our price range

Re: Just wondering...

i was actually looking at this car myself until i rang him up and found out it was "s.s" on the log book not gt,so it's just the same formula spec as my own in a different colour
