Hi all,
I have a 2000 Barva 1.2 16v, and need to do the head gasket. Thats no problem, but want to check if anyone has used the head gasket sets on ebay, around £25?
Being a former Rover guy, where the K series engine is VERY particular to the type of gasket, I thought I would check with you experienced Fiat guys as to whether these cheap sets are okay.
Also, are the head bolts required?

At £25 sounds too good to be true...and in life, if it sounds too good to be true.....it usually is....

ive used them never had any short term troubles. only two sets ive used on the 1242 16v engine were within the last year, no problems as yet.

In my local motor factors (local this time) a hg kit for my 1.2 Punto (same engine) including bolts was €22 all in. The hg itself is fine but the extention gasket is very iffy, letting oil down the plug bores. Be weary

Also you'll need an M9 ribe for the head bolts

The tools I have fortunately, but was just short on the specific fiat experience.
