My battery has gone flat, the RAC gave me a jump start and then checked everything, the Battery is OK and less than a year old, the alternator is fine and he checked if anything was draining after I switched off but it was all OK.
A few days later it was flat again, so I got a jump start and was driving around to build up the charge when I pulled up at some lights, some 3 miles away from my home the car died completely without the power to put on the hazard lights. I got another jump start drove back home the same way and thought I'd ask some friends some advice but the next day the car starts and the next, absolutely no problems. The only thing I can think of is, it seems to happen when the stereo is on or the next day after I have had the stereo on. Is this possible or any other ideas? Its a 2001 HLX.

what stereo do you have?
do you use an amplifier?

you leave the stereo on .. when not using the car?

Less than a year old, the car is otherwise fine I've not used the stereo in the last week and not had a flat.

Sounds like it could be a connection problem, on the heavy leads from the battery either the positive or the negative, check both ends.
