I have bought a brava 1.4 12v and to start with the heaters didnt work but the temp gauge took a while to go up but stayed at halfway and wasnt boiling up so i thought it will want a bleed and a new thermostat but before i fitted the new stat i undid the plastic bleed screw to the left of the inlet manifold on the pipe that runs around the cambelt cover and there was air with bubbles and water spluttering out then nothing but air was hissing out of it and it started to boil up as in the temp gauge will go right the way up so i fitted a new stat thinking that would be the problem but now the water wont even make it to the stat i.e. both radiator hoses were cold but engine is hot now im thinking its a blockage somewere or theres plenty more bleed screws i dont know about

any help on this would be great.

Thanks for the pic thats helped me out loads i was just bleeding it from (C) which is probs why no water is moving from the header tank ive just been to remove and check the water pump which is fine just must be spinning air round but it just started raining so when i get a chance il let you know if bleeding the system properly works

Again Thnaks alot for the pic and the welcome (y)
