Just had a look again and pulling relay '5' makes absolutely bod all difference to the main/dipped/sidelights. In fact I couldn't tell what it was doing - everything was still working

I pulled all of the relays this time from everywhere all at once and the headlights still work............

I will carry on looking, I'm still trying to fix my fog/driving lights and I'm delving into the same area I suppose!

pulled a few and nothing killed the lights will carry on checking.

just been out and pulled EVERY relay in the fusebox, glovebox, and engine bay. headlights stayed on. there is also no relay click when you turn them on. so its not inside the car or audible in the bay.

id say stalks :-( were they new?

no the stalks were from scrapyard but were apparently workin when the car came into scrapyard but for two sets to have exact same problem is rare i think

stalks are common faults on a bravo/a and its usually the lights that go.


what happene when they were last used?

does flash work/high beam?
sidelights?
front fogs? if front fogs work for NOW wire them up to the headlight plugs. so the headlights come on on the fog button. that way you can drive at night till you work it all out!.

one night they worked next night they didnt, high beam works perfect, sidelights good fog lights ok rear fogs come on too i'm puzzled on this one lol, will it be safe to wire fogs to headlights ?

if you take the bulbs out the fogs so their still only powering two bulbs they will be a-ok. no worries at all. you will need to do some custom wiring though.

tbh i dont know whats up. id still say stalks... kee on fiat boo has a few sets for a good price. you cuold always try another another set

just had a look at fog lights and all i can see is one screwk at top but it still wont come out is there a hidden screw or clip somewhere also is it just a case of running a single wire from fog plug to headlight plug ?

just run the power to the power on the headlights. leave the headlight earth a is should work. just unplug the fogs instead of removing the bulb if you cant get in. make sure you water tight it though

There are three screws holding the foglight to the bumper. One infront of the glass going upwards two under the bumper. There is a small tab on the inside edge of each foglight that pins it in slightly.

i've been doin some searchin in the bravo and on the rear of the fuse panel under steering wheel seems to be two yellow relays has anyone any idea what there are for ?

no mate. but i pulled both of them aswell as the two small black ones (one on back one on front) none of them killed the headlights. although one i tihnk did stop the high beam working.

yeah i found high beam relay too i dont know why this is such a puzzle

tbh i think new stalks are needed after summign it all up. shame really.

could i run the headlights from the high beam as short term fix till i get time tm fix properly ? Would this cause any problems

could do yeh would just bring the blue light up on the dash constantly

thats not much to deal with if i can see where i'm goin lol what size or amp wire would i need ?

just unplug the both spade's on the bulbs and swap them round inside the cluster case.

mine has marea poly's on it can i still do that
