Hiya
I have had a problem for the last few days with my diesel brava.
When I turn the key nothing happens :(
No starting motor sound at all just silence.
All lights working as they are supposed, going off when they should just wont start.
Anyone got any ideas where to start.
SHe starts if you bump it as we were stuck in the middle of nowhere when it happened so didnt have much choice but cant do this whenever I need to go out !!!!
Any help would be appreciated as to where to start looking :)

had the same problem but mines a petrol check your battery earth make sure its not damaged it will go all together one day like mine did to check next time it wont start get a jump lead connect it to your battery earth and to a good point on your engine then try to turn it over if it tries to start you know its your earth not to dear to to replace

Well its not that but thanx for the advice anyway.
I just cant think of anything else it could be.
If anyone else can come up with anything then I would be eternally greatful !!!!!
Pete

Cant think off hand if there is a starter relay in the circuit (dont think so?) but i'd start by making sure you have a permanent(big terminal!) & switched (start) supply/lives (thin wire!) at the starter.Careful when testing incase engine starts
If you can't hear a 'click' from the starter solenoid when turning key to start your solenoid is open circuit. If your good with a power probe you can try & start the car manually at the starter, again be very careful!!
