Hi all, Iv been through 2 brake light switches over the past 4 months, they both worked fine for up to about 2 months and they seem to stop working, most recently today. I took the switch out completely and the brake lights were on but then they kept flikering, put it back in and they stopped working. I dont know if its the switches or its a dodgy connection. Can anybody please shed some light on this?

You can try to clean the mount with some sand paper, and also the connection. Or maybe you have a faulty pedal switch, it's a little tricky to find but it's an search and repair operation, meaning that you could go around the electrical system related to brakes and clean the connections and mountings.

I got someone to look at it the other day and he got it to work, he took the whole switch out and used contact cleaner on it i think and it works a treat now. Thanks for the advise though mate, if it does it again i will try what you have said
