the fuel gauage on my 99 T 1.2 80sx bravo has been a little erratic from the day i got it, i can switch the ignition on and get one reading then drive less than a mile to my mates and switch off, then when i get back in the car turn ignition on it would give a different reading, yesterday afternoon i had a trip up the motorway about 20ish miles away, when i left to come home my fuel gauge read about a quarter tank then less than a mile down the road as i hit the motorway the gauge was on the red empty mark and the light on, it was like this all the way home and all day untill about 3 hrs ago when i parked outside my other mates on a little bit of a hill with the back of the car uphill, came out turned on ignition and the gauge started working again, yet earlyer today i checked all the wiring, conections etc and even pulled the clocks out to check conections behind there, but no joy the damm gauge only went upto the first red mark and the light on, now it's back to erratic readings.

Id say its the sender itself its worth getting out a multimeter and testing it if it was the guage itself the light wouldnt be coming on
