Hi i have been offerd a 1998 fiat brava 1.6sx but the car will not start i have been told it is ECU problem but i don't have the red key if i change the ecu will i need the the red key for my car or the car i get the ecu off Thanks Ste

you will need the code box ecu ignition lock off a donor car, you shouldnt need a red key just blues will be ok if they are off the same donor car

Hi there, stating the obvious, have you checked the ht leads and plugs? Is there a red llight on the dash board that looks like an injector? These engines suffer from injector failure so that could be your problem. They get hot as they are buried right close to the engine and have the inlet wrapped right round them so there is little or no airflow over them.
